We all like to escape sometimes. My aim with this painting was to create an atmosphere of looking in from the outside. This lady is observed in a world of her own devising, unaware of the viewer or her beauty.
I wanted the observer to feel this lady is bearing her soul, telling her secrets, feeling joy, sorrow, reverence, hate, love and finally peace.
I hope ‘Plunge’ embodies the mental emotion I felt whilst painting this portrait and affects you the viewer of my painting.
