Rainbow Lorikeet by Rex WOODMORE. In amongst the blossom of a pink flowering gum tree,the beautiful Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus) was introduced into the wild in Perth, Western Australia, during the 1960s.From about 10 escaped or released birds, we now have about 20.000 & they are now a declared pest. 30x21cm.
