The Rainbow Trout was introduced to Australia for sport and soon became a great food source for all who dwell beside the banks of the snowy. It’s colour varies depending on its location usually a dark olive green to bluish with a plethora
of spots on its head along its back and over its dorsal and tail fin. Pink markings are found painted over the gills and along the lateral line, Rainbow Trout return to their original
hatching ground to spawn upon this time these marking become more intense and their bellies shimmer a silvery white.
Depicted here are two female Rainbow Trout, exhibiting their anatomy consisting of a detailed skeletal design, spawn, internal organs and a variety of food they like to devour,worms, beetles, snails, dragonflies and frogs.
