Artist Profile: Eve Smith
I have painted all my life. My mother was a painter also. My passion for paint and colour started at the knee. I have probably lived more of my life in the bush which constantly inspires me, but growing up on the edge of Sydney Harbour has also left an indelible imprint. I paint figuratively and abstractly, but at present pattern and layering is my main focus. Observing nature - insects, reptiles, rain, amphibians and plants - watching the patterns they make astonishes me every day!
