Artists to watch in 2014: Part Two

Following on from Part One of artists to watch in 2014, here are Bluethumb artists 6-10 (not ranked) whose work you should keep an eye on this year.

We love all our artists, but those on the list of 20 to watch are either a) new to Bluethumb, b) about to hit the big time, or c) selling a lot of work at the moment.

6. Jenny Davis

Jenny Davis is an abstract artist from Melbourne whose work has been exhibited throughout Australia, as well as New York, Berlin, Spain, France, and the UK. She's one of our most established artists and we think this year is going to be a great one for her. This painting, Misma Voy, was created when Jenny was artist in residence at the Can Serrat International Art Center in Barcelona, Spain - you can buy it now for $1,375.

Jamahl Pollard is one of our newest artists, and is particularly fascinating as he has a serious vision impairment. From the sounds of it, he paints because of his disability, not in spite of it, and has exhibited throughout SA and won several awards and prizes. Andrew Pearson is an established artist from Melbourne who has exhibited extensively throughout Australia and overseas, where he has a following among established actors, musicians and even politicians.
