VEILED WOMAN

I am not so keen on clair obscur‚ but sometimes‚I get attracted by one detail of some paintings. This one was inspired by Georges De La Tour‚ La Diseuse de Bonne Aventure‚ that i saw at the Metro in NY. I could not take my eyes of this pure profile‚ for me far more striking than the rest of the painting.

I was born in Paris where I have been an interior designer for 25 years. I am influenced by Dali‚ De Chirrico‚ Picasso‚ Gaudi. I am fascinated by the female form‚ it’s curves and lines and the affects of light upon them. Also very much inspired by Mother Nature. After living in the Royal National Park South of Sydney where I was part of the local art trail, I now live in the Southern Highlands. I love to hear the kookaburras. I feel very lucky to work in such environment. Favorite materials: oil‚ acrylic‚ resin‚ gold leaf‚ clay‚ wood.
