I felt at peace today in the studio, candles lit, music on and feeling very content with my little studio world. I start by looking through my reference photos and enevidably I am drawn to a specific image (a bit like a process of divination really). I knew I wanted to capture the spirit of such a majestic beast. It's spirit calling to me, like a whisper. This piece was created with loose happen hearted strokes. I just let loose and painted and let my artistic mind take over! To play and to create. With all of my paintings there is a process, a love - hate- fear process. It's like some crazy race between heart and head. I love this painting. Full of happy spirit, ethereal and free.

This painting is created on a full sheet of thick Arches watercolour paper which has deckled edges. It's 640gsm thick, which is to thick to roll. It will be posted in a durable thick cardboard envelope/folder for protection. You may frame it as you wish.
