Artwork Description

An homage to Star Wars followed by an accidental tribute to Vincent Van Gogh. The work is made from fade resistant, water resistant India ink.

I found I was inspired from reading comic books. I like crispness of the dark ink on white card stock. The pens I used are also water proof and don't tend to smudge which is a great thing. I normally do abstract and don't plan to actually draw anything in particular, even though I have done a few images eg the fish tank. But those are based purely on the flow of lines. In this instance I started with an image and used contour lines to fill in the image.
