Artwork Description

In my mind I travel back in time to a place in the Tasmanian wilderness where these animals survived and food was plentiful.
All animals need water so eventually they cross paths as they move towards the nearest stream or waterhole.
The changing colours represent the seasons, and the landscape.
As a child I followed the tracks of wombats, observed echidnas, fed wild kangaroos that came up to the house, chased mountain dragons, and at night; I remember hearing the distant sounds of growling Tasmanian devils while staying at "Ferndale" my Grandmother's farm at Elderslie, Tasmania .
