Like most of my work, I began this piece without a fixed idea of the output, seeking to find the answers to the composition through experimenting with materials and composition- with a focus on process and intuition. The outcome captures and seizes a moment in time and emotional state rather than representing a fixed identity. Speaking to ideas of the ephemeral and palimpsest, representing the physical space that we occupy as merely a vehicle for our psyche, and in that way it is unfixed and boundless.
