A visit to Sault, Provence, certainally bewitches many artists, with the endless rows of sweetly perfumed lavender and violet tinged views, stretching for miles. I liked the little known fact that essential lavender oil has antiseptic properties and was used to disinfect wards during the 1st world war. Beautiful as well as useful!
