Along the River - I painted this stunning large river inspired abstract painting in a modern impressionist minimal style. Inspired by the colours of an Australian river and the glistening sunlight on the flowing water. A stunning colour palette of dark to light blues, greens and yellows with pops of orange red in a flowing calming rhythmic pattern.
Choosing the colours at the start of a piece is an important part of my artistic process and and I love choosing the colours through how I am feeling, the seasons we are in and inspiration from nature around me. It is fascinating how a certain colour can really change a rooms ambiance and feel.
The colour blue represents both the sky and the sea and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. The colour green is the colour of balance and renewal, mostly associated with success. Green means: harmony, growth, freshness, energy.
I want this artwork to invoke joy, mindfulness and peace within the viewer and the room that is hanging in. Perfect addition to a nature lovers home, bringing the outside ambiance inside or perhaps for someone that just needs that tranquility in their home.
