Since 1996 many of my paintings have had Birds as the main subject and Birds in movement are a particular favourite of mine. This series includes Australia Native flowers referenced as a poetic narrative from my imagination.
Seeing simple light interactions on familiar forms makes the viewer take a second to understand the subject the direction of light and the surrounds. My objective is not to describe explicitly but incongruously, by man-made marks & tools, only suggesting the shape and movement of natural forms.
