Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

My dear friend Lisa Sibley photographed this old diesel relic whilst visiting the Transport Museum in Alice Springs, NT. The photo struck a cord with me, when, as a little girl, my family were fortunate to travel around Australia. It was an impressive sight to see the red locomotives making their trip from Port Augusta to Alice Springs via Oodnadatta. This old girl has certainly seen better days but for now, she sits quietly in the back paddocks, baking her maroon patina away in the summer sun.
I added yellow daisies to enhance her vibrant colour that speaks of time and history. I think she deserves it!
Thankyou so kindly for looking x
