I literally drifted into the reference image for this painting, and found myself walking down the stairs onto the beach, day dreaming with the warmth of the sun, a gentle breeze and the salty taste of a fresh swim on my lips.
I knew I had to paint the scene immediately and the original now hangs in a prominent location of my home, where I'm still able to stand and have a day dream any time I want.
