Tribesman's Gaze artwork has waited for a decade for me to finish him as he was one unfinished one of a few that were left from a stolen collection of large African artworks. He means a lot to me, and has a very strong presence and you will feel him in the room. My photographer friend Peppino Pbonu from Italy, permissioned me to paint from any of his photographs, and the day I got that permission, a massive leap of joy, and a whole new world of beauty was opened up to me. I have 2 big 180 x 120cm canvases to yet finish from that African collection. Wherever he finds a home, I will always remember him for the emotions that he has always evoked in me.
