I wanted to create this piece using a swipe technique with no extra additives. I used the dark blues and purples to give a 'midnight horizon' look, splitting the colours from a central line. As I swiped, it felt like the parting of a door to a new place. The title 'Silver Glass' comes from The Lord of the Rings as Frodo and Gandalf left Middle Earth to travel into the West. That's what I felt when creating the parting of the 'horizon', as the boats disappeared into places far beyond. You might see something else.
*Please note 'In Situ' images are for illustration only. All efforts have been made to portray the piece in real size, however collectors are recommended to measure the intended space for the piece. *
