Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
This painting has won a ‘highly commended’ award in a juried exhibition. It is inspired by a very truly stunning and remote spot called Butty Head near Esperance. This paining was inspired by a blustery winter’s day as the sun peeked through the hazy clouds turning the bay into vibrant shades of turquoise. On days like this, along that wild coast, there is so much energy in the air as the sea churns and slams itself against the rocks. This paining is filled with that energy and movement and is full of warmth and atmosphere.
The sides are carefully painted in a matching light blue so the painting is ready to hang. A protective coating of varnish has been applied using Gamvar. Signed on the front and back.
