The vortex of time and the elements will ultimately render human constructs unrecognizable. In this painting, a mining crane has been distorted and dispersed beyond recognition.
I this image, I use distortion or abstraction to convey feelings and a particular mood, because I feel that often things can be expressed more successfully in forms that are personalised, rather than through the use of realism. Distortion is a change of a reality’s depiction. Through distortion, reality is changed into creativity.
