Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This piece was inspired by a night spent on the couch with my daughter Sofia, who we later found out had Covid. Sometime during the night I woke and checked my emails to read "Shane Warne
Dies, aged 52". It was like a bolt of electricity shot
through my body.

Throughout the night I woke multiple times and had to check that it wasn't a dream.

Over the years I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Shane Warne on numerous occasions. He was always generous with his time. On one occasion it was before the start of play at the Oval in 2001 when I was on tour with an Aboriginal side reenacting the 1868 tour of the first Australian and all aboriginal cricket team.
