Pronounced “Fifty-One Fifty” is named after the California code for a legal involuntary 72 hour psychiatric hold and is frequently used in pop culture as another word for crazy. This piece was painted during a hard time when it felt like the darkness in the corner was slowly creeping in and taking over my mind. Fueled by an emotional and expressive approach, 5150 has a slightly moody or grunge inspired feel.
