I found this (1950s, hand made in India) horse in a second hand shop in Paddington. I can imagine him as a discarded toy for an Indian princess who once loved him as she played surrounded by riches (red satin drapes and silver platters).
Painted in rich colours the work would bring a touch of the exotic to any setting.
