'Girls on the Avenue' was created on board Azamara Journey for the 'Artwaves' art program. Typical of my 'French Connection' series I created these girls publicly to the passengers delight with a 4" palette knife. This allows for texture and movement to be a distinguishing character of the girls.
Originally the 'French Connection' series were inspired by the flamboyance and free flowing attitudes I noticed of the french women and their love of fashion on numerous study tours to France.
