"Oarsome Waves" is part of a series of small paintings I titled "An Infinity of Uniquesses".
This series is inspired by a quote I once heard Barbara Blackman describe during an interview that life and nature is an infinity of uniquenesses. This observation made me realise how much I love that not only are we all unique, but we have an unlimited choice of what makes us happy.
I also included in this peice 3 small wooden houses fixed to the top of the canvas. I include little houses in a lot of my work to represent identity and a sense of place - which we are always adapting to our lives and experiences.
