This piece was originally painted to reflect how different we are, yet so much the same.

No matter where we are from, where we are now, or where we are going – we are perfect in our most naked and raw form.

While the original meaning is still true, there was a moment I caught myself painting her with a smile. Like she always needed to. She doesn’t. Many of us don’t hold the traditional, stereotypical subservient position. Nor should we. Take this as a little reminder, that no - women do not need to smile more.
