In the Jungle is a painting depicting an imagined exotic landscape with creatures living harmoniously, in the tropical environment of Sulawesi. It is a nostalgic painting which celebrates the balance of cohabitation between indigenous tribes of Sulawesi and their respect for the cultural and environmental practises which predate colonial settlement & influence.
