Acrylic on canvas

In my opinion, PinkLemonade is the best large abstract painting near me, it truly is a mesmerising showcase investment-quality artwork!
PinkLemonade is a yellow, mauve and purple acrylic abstract painting with free-flowing repetitive patterns. I used a stylised mark-making technique, influenced by Ian Fairweather. For this painting, I started with a blank canvas and a blank mind. There were no preconceived ideas, I just put brush to canvas and start making bold marks. As I added colours the marks became a foreign alphabet and they started to dance together.
Usually, I will make several passes, using different colours and techniques then standing back to absorb the changes. I keep layering in this way until I see a certain balance in the composition β that is when I stop, the painting is finished.
Abstract Expressionism is all about action painting and colour field painting. Action painting requires vigorous application of paint, often splashed, thrown or poured. Colour field painting is all about large fields of bold, flat colours across the picture plane.
