An iconic Australian farming scene, burning last year's crop in preparation for seeding a new crop.
This doesn't happen as much these days with the threat of wildfire. The farmer must keep a watchful eye on the fire ready to take action if it gets away.
A dedication to the hardworking Aussie farmer. I chose to put a female in the painting to show the change in workplace roles. Women traditionally helped on farms and outback stations as the wife or child of the male owner or overseer. These days more women are working in roles traditionally done by males as paid employees and are now the managers and owners of their own properties.
This painting would be a conversation piece in your home.
I love painting the typical outback attire, jeans, shirt and hat.
