Gouache on paper
Signed on the front.
A storm along the northern horizon across Caboonbah looked so beautifully restless - the rain shower and the remnant trees along the Brisbane River really caught my eye. This area was once much more heavily treed, and here and there you will see many strangler fig trees sprouting in the tops of dead giants. My intention with this one was to catch the restlessness of the distant rain shower, while reflecting the golden glow of the lengthening afternoon sun.
